Bathroom Bonanza: Days 17 & 18
As I write this, the bathroom is 99% done. All that remains are the accessories: towel rods, toilet paper holder, etc. Unfortunately, they’re on backorder from the supply company and won’t be in until next week. Had I known they were backordered, I would have picked something else. Oh well!
Yesterday, the mirror guy came in the morning (before the contractor, who showed up at 1). I can’t emphasize enough how much of a difference the mirror makes! The room feels so much bigger. Today’s work included installing the shower fixture and putting on the the vanity knobs.

I put in the new shower curtain, rug, and old trash bin.

Note the matching faceplate that I installed!

Shower fixture is finally in! No more raw pipes.

Cabinet hardware. Once he put the door back, I was kinda bummed because our doors are so shabby.

With a mirror that big, it’s hard to take a picture and not be in it. I had to squat on the floor for this one.

Beautiful!
HOLY COW – A finished bathroom!!! YEA!!! It’s is mahvelous dahling!! Shower time? I’ll be over to use the toity!!!!
Bathroom looks great! Love the accent tiles and the cabinet fixtures. Where did you get them?
Shruti: I highly recommend Tile Creations by Valerie: it’s got loads of interesting tiles! They’re located off Jefferson behind Bill Gray’s next to the Full Belly Deli. :)
The cabinets are a combination of pre-made cabinet and fabricated pieces. I got them from VP Supply.
Glad it’s finally done – you were really starting to smell funky. (I wasn’t going to say anything but… well ya know)
I love it!! I’m a big fan of the corian counters and your matching outlet cover. and the accent tiles. and the cabinet hardware. damn it – nice job girl!

Wow! It’s stunning! Beautiful job!!! I love how even the method soap and shampoo bottle match.
I have that same shower curtain. :)
Are you going to have a bathroom warming party? People could bring you fancy soaps and magazines… ;)
Kris: Well, I suppose I could have a martini night potty warming. As long as people promise not to really “christen” the bathroom, if you know what I mean. :)
Dude! I didn’t know you had a blog! Too fun :) Your bathroom looks beautiful!! John and I did a bathroom redo last year, it’s amazing how much better things can look :)
