Last Tuesday, as I flew to Chicago for a week of work, I had no idea what would be in store for me. Nervous anticipation filled pretty much every moment. At best, I hoped that things would go over without a hitch; at worst, I expected the whole thing to fall apart because I had done something gravely wrong. I would be completely lying if I said that I encountered no snags, but I can say that nothing terrible happened. There were a few minutes when I felt helpless – as though I had completely screwed up. However, all the little hiccups taught me some valuable lessons.
We all worked long hours during the day, but still had time to enjoy some of our nights. Thanksgiving dinner consisted of fish tacos, many glasses of Blue Moon and a couple of shots of Jagermeister, but Hey, I can’t really complain. I worked with some fantastically talented people and met some new friends along the way. Thanks to everyone for making my “first” show a positive experience – one that I will never forget.
