Mike loves his Nintendo DS. Since it has free wi-fi networking capabilities, he’s been petitioning to get me my own so that we can play games together. For Christmas, he thought he’d test the waters to see what my reaction might be to receiving one. He handed me a gift; I unwrapped it to reveal a DS box. I threw my head back and let out a guffaw, as if to say, “I KNEW IT!” When I opened the box, neatly tucked inside were a stack of Vosges chocolate bars (pronounced voh-jay) — just the right weight to trick me into believing it really was a DS. I must admit, I was partially disappointed. Don’t get me wrong, a girl can’t complain about getting expensive chocolates, but it was a cruel trick.

After the gifts were opened, and the disappointment subsided, Mike thought it would be a good idea to buy me Animal Crossing – Wild World. When Mike introduced me to the Sims about 5 years ago, I loved it — at least temporarily. I whiled away hours building the house, making it cool, and dressing my character. But I quickly grew bored of the game-play and started building anew. This is like playing the Sims, but without the annoying parts. I could go on and on, but I won’t. All I can say, is I’m hooked. It’s cute, and fun, and interesting. Did I mention it’s REALLY cute?! Some people have TV to veg with, we have games. Now all I need is a yellow DS… or a pink one.
